Why Acapite?

Origin

This term comes from the Latin “a capĭte”, which means “from the beginning”. It has a special meaning for us because it represents, on one hand, a new beginning and, on the other, assisting our clients from the beginning.

Our purpose

It is important for us to assist our clients, providing them with tax and dispute advice and tax litigation at any time.

Andrés Villalpando Fonseca

Andres held different positions during 25 years at Deloitte & EY, being International Tax Partner at EY for 10 years. He has experience in tax matters, participating in specialized tax advice, reorganizations, tax refunds and tax compliance, to national and multinational companies, as well as to individuals and family businesses. Andres´ expertise is mainly in automotive, manufacturing, services, real estate and pharmaceutical sectors.

Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Universidad Panamericana, as well as two postgraduate degrees in Corporate and Tax matters from the same university.

Member of Mexican Association of Public Accountants, in which is certified as Tax Specialist, as well as is member of Mexican Institute of Public Accountants and of the International Tax Commission of the Midwest Region of said Institute. He has been a speaker at multiple conferences and seminars.

Karla Aguilar Martínez

Karla has more than 14 years of experience providing tax consulting and advisory services to national and multinational companies, as well as to individuals and family businesses; mainly in the following sectors: automotive, footwear, agriculture, livestock, among others. Throughout his professional career he has participated in tax planning, tax reorganizations between nationals, recovery of tax credits and review of tax compliance.

As part of her professional experience, in the last 14 years Karla has held positions in 2 of the consulting firms known as Big Four.

She´s an accountant graduated from UEPCA and has a diploma in "Taxes" from the León Association of Accountants. She has participated as a speaker in several lectures on tax matters.

Miguel Velázquez

Miguel has 13 years of experience in the tax area, advising both national and multinational companies, as well as individuals and family businesses. Some of the sectors and industries in which he specializes are automotive and manufacturing, real estate, agriculture and livestock, mining, and services.

Throughout his professional career he has participated in specialized tax consulting, reorganizations, recovery of tax credits and tax compliance. Miguel has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad de la Salle Bajío, and holds a professional license for the practice of his profession, participating

An expert accountant in various procedures, both judicial and jurisdictional. Likewise, as part of his professional experience, he collaborated for a period of 12 years for the corporate tax line in 2 of the consulting firms known as Big Four, where as part of his duties he participated as a speaker in various lectures on tax issues.

Tania Arellano Maciel

Tania has 20 years of experience providing tax consulting and advice on tax controversy and litigation matters, both to national and multinational companies in automotive, pharmaceutical, construction, energy, agricultural, chemical sectors, as well as individuals and family businesses.

As part of her professional experience, Tania worked for Federal Court of Administrative Justice and held different positions in Deloitte and EY among 16 years.

She is a lawyer graduated from Universidad of Guadalajara and has a Master's Degree in Taxation from the same University.

Member of National Association of Corporate Lawyers and has published several articles in printed media.

Ricardo Carrasco Jiménez O’Farrill

Ricardo has more than 14 years of experience in consulting and tax advisory, the last 11 years has been within 2 of the largest accounting firms worldwide Deloitte and Ernst & Young (EY).

During the last 8 years, he opened a new line of services in the Guadalajara office to provide Business Tax Advisory to the central-western region in México.

He has led projects such as: recovery of favorable balance, reorganizations, capital reductions, tax reduction strategies, profit distributions, tax compliance services, to national and multinational companies.

Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from “Escuela Bancaria y Comercial, diploma by the Harvard Business School in Manage Mentor, diploma in Strategies for Management, Administration and Finance by Tecnologico de Monterrey (TEC). He has been a speaker at multiple conferences and seminars.
